A small painting to finish this Painting Challenge. Once again I appreciated every moment of it and still manged to learn a few things more. There is no end to progressing and learning new things. Thanks again my dear friends for your support and kind comments. Happy painting to you all!

Heureusement, j'ai trouvé cette feuille de papier TeraSkin sur une étagère. Quasiment plus rien sur mes tablettes, je vais devoir aller magasiner bientôt pour des canevas, papier à dessin, etc. Très bientôt!
Aujourd'hui, une aquarelle pour faire un petit chagement.

Désolée, mais je n’ai pas eu une minute à moi aujourd’hui! Il a fallu sortir toutes les fines herbes  du jardin, les rincer et les faire sécher, préparer les tomates pour la fameuse sauce du Chef ( lui, c’est mon mari). Demain, c’est vendredi et je travaillerai sur mes oies à l’Atelier de peinture.
La peinture ci-haut en est une que j’ai peinte juste avant le Défi de Septembre.

So sorry ,but not a minute to myself today! What with the fines herbs to pick up from the garden cleaning and drying them , and  the tomatoes to prepare for the Chief’s famous sauce. ( that’s my husband) . Tomorrow is Friday and I will be working on the geese again  at the Atelier .
The top painting is one I did just before the  beginning of the September Challenge.

Pas une minute pour peindre sérieusement aujourd’hui. J’ai reçu de la visite importante....  mon petit-fils qui fête ses 2 ans. Alors ,voici sa carte de souhait,  un petit bateau  pour lui faire plaisir, car il aime bien jouer dans l’eau . Demain,je commencerai quelque chose de nouveau, mais je ne sais pas encore ce que ce sera. Dernière semaine!....Ouf!

Not a minute to myself today! I had an important visitor....my grandchild who’s celebrating his second anniversary. So this is a small card for him because he just loves playing in  water .  Tomorrow I’ll start on something new, don’t know what yet!....

Encore ce fameux bouquet, j' ai retravaillé le vase et les fleurs. Maintenant cette toile repose pour quelques jours, afin de la réexaminer avec des yeux neufs et effectuer les dernières retouches.

Still working on this vase and flowers. Now the canvas is resting for a while, till I reexamine it and decide if a few touch ups are in order.

Quelques ajustements  de fait aujourd,hui, un peu subtil par moment j'avoue. Il n'y parait peut-être pas beaucoup mais j'y ai mis du temps et des coups de pinceaux,  sur le col, le visage et les cheveux, un peu plus de lumière sur le chapeau. Je mets maintenant cette toile de côté pour l’etudier  à mon aise en Octobre.

A few adjustements made today, hope you can see them. It may not show much but I pot some time and many brushstrokes aon the collar, the face, the hair and added more light on the hair. I'm now putting this painting aside till October. I'll have more time to examine this.

J'ai étudié ma toile et peins pendant une heure aujourd'hui. C'est une composition avec un chapeau pris ici, un demi-visage là, un col de chemise et une veste ailleurs. Je garde mes derniers coups de pinceaux pour demain, avec mon groupe d'amis peintres de la Vieille Ecole ( École Sacré-Coeur)  qui fait partie du Carrefour des Arts de Mont Saint-Hilaire.

I've studied my canvas and painted for about an hour today. Finally it's a composition with a hat taken here, a half-face there, a sweater and jacket elsewhere. I'm keeping the last brushstrokes for tomorrow when I'll be painting wih my Friday afternoon artists friends at The Old School ( École Sacré-Coeur) part of the Carrefour des Arts of Mont Saint-Hilaire.

Dessiner est très exigeant pour mon épaule, alors pour quelques jours ce sera un temps pour les petites choses, des fruits , des fleurs et autres. Ce matin, j'avais le goût de manger une pêche bien mûre. Alors, je suis allée à l'épicerie chercher un panier de pêches d'Ontario avant que la saison ne se termine. Une pêche juteuse, juste à point. Un petit délice. Aucun dessin au préalable.

Drawing is too demanding for my shoulder these days, so I'll be doing little things for a while. I'll be painting fruits, flowers and whatever takes my fancy. Today I had a rage for peaches, went and bought some before season's over. A juicy peach from Ontario, Canada. Yummy, no drawing needed!

Frida! Je l'ai vue un  peu partout ces derniers temps, en peintures, en photos. C'est ce qui m'a donné le goût de la dessiner. Cette  artiste-peintre mexcicaine est vraiment connue partout dans le monde. Je crois que je ferai son portrait encore, en peinture acrylique cette fois , un jour. Un autre projet.

Everybody knows Frida,  that  famous Mexican painter.  I've seen many paintings and photos of her lately, that's probably why I thought of drawing her. I may paint her again eventually, in acrylic. Another project!

Je suis contente,  Sharon,  une amie peintre a accepté que je fasse un petit sketch  d'elle. Ce n'est pas tant réussi, les proportions ne sont pas tout à fait justes, mais il y a un petit quelque chose d'elle là-dedans. J'y suis allée un peu fort avec mon crayon Lumograph. Il faut que je m'en souvienne pour la prochaine fois.

I'm happy, an artist friend named Sharon has accepted that I used one of her photos to draw a sketch of her.It 's not quite her, but there is a little something I like in the eyes. Some proportions are wrong and when you draw, it makes all the difference in the world. I was too hard on my pencil Lumograph , I must remember for next time.
